USB support under OS/2 (eComStation)

USB support requires the latest IDE and CD driver updates from IBM. In particular, OS2CDROM.DMD must be version 10.157 or later.

The required updates are not available for free, sorry. They are available for eComStation customers and, according to rumours, for customers with some kind of IBM support subscription. Look for a file named ide10161.zip

Naturally, a USB controller with OS/2 driver support is required, too. We strongly recommend to use a USB2.0 controller for CD/DVD writing - USB 1.1 is really slow.
